Introduction

NXF-742 media converter is a compact and cost-effective device for expansion of existing Ethernet and Fast Ethernet networks. It has enhanced features such as remote and local loopback testing, auto-negotiation, and link-fault signaling. It also has seven DIP switches for manual activation of the enhanced features, allowing it to be quickly integrated into a network. NXF-742 supports fiber optic cables and can transmit data in full or half-duplex mode over multi-mode, single-mode, or long-haul single-mode fiber optics.
